EP Approval!!!

Today was Julia's birthday. Yes, we finally picked a name. We thought it sounded like her Korean name. Her middle names will be Kristine after me and Hyeon. We were so sad not to be part of such an important day in her life. This wait gets more unbearable by the day. This week we were in Pismo with our family and friends. We woke up on Tuesday, and my mom had some gifts for Julia. She bought a baby doll, first tooth/lock of hair container, and made her a blanket. It was a nice way to start the day. The blanket was wrapped in a box from Korea, and Nico bent over and kissed it. We went to a special dinner at Mama's Meatball in San Luis Obispo and toasted to Julia's one year birthday. Then Michele, my mom, and I ran to Ross. At 9:25 we got the email that said the Immigration Permit was approved. My mom started crying in the check-out line, and I was in shock!!! What a wonderful day!! Happy Birthday JuJu B!!!!!

What a week! We got a message from our social worker saying that Eastern was going to submit us for EP, but it wasn't confirmed. I didn't know if we should celebrate, because what if it came back and we hadn't been submitted. We were at the Star Wars concert and got a text from a great friend. She had heard that we were submitted. Bill checked his emails, and yes the SW sent us a confirmation.  Hurray!!! Now the next wait begins.

I wanted to post a picture of the room before it is done. The painter comes on Monday to start the mural. Hopefully it turns out as cute as Nico's room. We also found out this week that the December families were approved for their Immigration Permits. We may need to hurry and finish the room! : ) We are the next family to be submitted. Hurray!!

We sent a small care package with a family that is traveling soon. They will deliver it to the agency in Korea when they arrive. It is so hard to fit a lot in a ziplock bag. It was much easier when DSW let us deliver a box of goodies directly to Korea, but they won't allow it anymore!

Progress

This week we found out that December families at our agency were submitted for an EP. We are the next family to be submitted-I can't believe it! Hopefully this will happen in June.  This process has been an emotional roller coaster. First we thought we would travel in 3-4 months, and were then told 8-9 months. Now we are hoping for a travel call a little sooner.  Only time will tell. Here is another picture I wanted to share.

Today we mailed another care package to our sweet girl. I forgot to take a picture of everything we have sent. Hopefully the foster mom will take pictures for us in some of the outfits we have sent. I wish there is more we could do for this wonderful family.

JooHyeon's foster mom sent a stack of pictures today. Wow, what a wonderful surprise!! She also sent footprints and handprints of JooHyeon when she was a baby. Oh, she also wrote a beautiful note thanking us for all the gifts we have sent. Here are a couple of our favorite pictures. It was such a precious gift for them to send. You can see she is in such loving home.
